Feelings perceived by students during the phases of accounting dissertation guidance

ABSTRACT The aim of this study was to understand how students graduating from accounting master’s courses perceived the feelings experienced in different dissertation guidance phases. This investigation enables us identify which stages generate negative and thus propose actions improve affective relationship between advisor student, considering that substantially affect potential scientific works originating relationship. advisor-student involved it are among main factors positively or negatively conclusion academic work, understanding is important order interaction process. One implications research relates importance stricto sensu programs monitoring process somehow searching for mechanisms promote harmony process, as experiences during can student’s likelihood continuing on their journey. For data collection, a survey conducted participants used emojis represent with construction dissertation. In addition, semi-structured interviews were carried out, enabled elaboration collective subject discourse regarding 88 responses eight identification such anxiety, fear, insecurity first phases building.
